Hello Rock~N~Readers! I cannot wait to get the book commercials finished so that we can show them on the Belton Morning News! I was so impressed at how quickly all of you were able to figure out what you wanted to say in your commercials and I apologize for the technical problems that we had when we were recording. I’ll get it figured out soon so that those who didn’t get to record will get a chance to do so.
I am also impressed that so many of you didn’t stop with just six of the nominee books and that you kept on reading! I wonder how many of you could read all 20 of the nominee books? Are any of you up for the challenge?
I really enjoyed hearing all your comments about the books you are reading. I’m glad it is hard for some of you to pick your favorites. Remember to tell your friends who are not part of the club about books that you think they will enjoy. Mrs. Byrd and I sent the pictures to the paper. They will probably be in the August 6 edition of the Belton Honea Path News Chronicle. I hope you enjoy your new books. I’ll see you the first day of school. Happy reading!

Hi! I just read a comment from Mary Kathryn and Lanee about regretting not picking a certain book. You can read and comment on any book on the South Carolina Book Award List, even if you didn’t put it on your original list. I recommended that they go check out the book at the County Library. They had to put Dexter the Tough on hold for Katie, but she had the book in her hands within 4 days. The librarians there are very nice, and they will be happy to assist you get other books on your wish list.
